About All Animals Veterinary Hospital
Greg Thomas, DVM (Retired, but you still may catch a glimpse)
Dr. Thomas founded All Animals Veterinary Hospital (AAVH) in 1992 and established White Bluff Animal Clinic (WBAC) in 2001. He is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served for six and a half years. Dr. Thomas graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1987 after completing his undergraduate degree at Austin Peay State University. After graduation, Dr. Thomas began practicing veterinary medicine with Waverly Animal Clinic until opening AAVH. The original AAVH building required continual renovations to keep up with the growing business. Finally in 2004, Dr. Thomas designed the current building we practice in. Dr. Thomas likes to travel with his wife, visit with his 2 daughters and especially loves spending time with his grandchildren.
Ellie Goan, DVM
Dr. Goan graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University in 2010 after completing a Bachelors in Animal Science at Clemson University and a Masters in Veterinary Physiology at University of Georgia. Dr. Goan came to the AAVH/WBAC family after graduation in 2010 and became a co-owner in 2015. She was born in East Tennessee and grew up equally between North and South Carolina. In her spare time she can be found working outside, fishing on her pond, hanging out with her dogs, traveling, or spending time with friends and family. Dr. Goan's favorite aspect of working at AAVH is that we never know what species with what ailments are going to walk in the door.
Jessica Ward, DVM
Dr. Jessica Ward graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. She has family across the Southeast and her grandparents were previously Dickson County residents, which fortunately for us, brought Dr. Ward here. Dr. Ward grew up raising emus, llamas, donkey, horses, cats, and dogs. This clearly fostered a love for all animals. Her favorite animal is a wombat, but her favorite to treat are cows. In Dr. Ward's downtime, she spends time with her cats, Riggs and Jones and her dog, Sylvie, as well as knits, and reads horror and murder mystery.
Alaine Gerughty, DVM
Dr. Alaine Gerughty grew up in Louisville, KY as the youngest of four children. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021 after completing a Bachelors in Animal Science at the University of Kentucky. She enjoys traveling and so far her favorite place has been Australia and she eventually wants to visit Ireland. During her time off she enjoys relaxing with her wild pup Nyla or working on a cross stitch. In the future she hopes to learn physical therapy techniques to help your fury friends even more! She can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
Jacie Sweeney, DVM
Dr. Jacie Sweeney is originally from south Arkansas where she grew up highly involved in 4-H and FFA, exhibiting both sheep and swine and judging livestock. Livestock judging grew into such a passion, she continued to judge livestock at the collegiate level, where she also received her Bachelors in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas in 2016. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Sweeney enjoys hiking, kayaking, and being in the outdoors with her dog, Ollie Jean or curled up reading a good book or finishing a difficult puzzle with her cat, Liza Marie. Dr. Sweeney is very eager to meet you and your pets of all shapes and sizes.
Paul Ulrich, DVM
Dr. Ulrich specializes in small animal, avian, and exotic medicine and surgery. Dr. Ulrich earned his Bachelors in Biology in 1976, his Masters in Zoology in 1978 and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1982 all from University of California at Davis. He worked at Bakersfield Veterinary Hospital in California from 1982 - 2017 and was a partner from 1990-2017. After retiring from Bakersfield Veterinary Hospital he helped their local shelter from 2018-2019. In 2019 Dr. Ulrich and his wife moved to Dickson. In 2020 Dr. Ulrich began helping out the Humane Society of Dickson County, which he still does today. He became a member of the AAVH/WBAC family in February 2022. Dr. Ulrich enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and their 4 grown kids. He also enjoys golfing and horticulture. He is a foodie as well as a novice guitar player.

Nicki joined the practices in May 2020 and dove straight into the deep end! Nicki works hard to to maintain and improve many aspects of our practices. She was born and raised in Dickson County. While we don't give Nicki a ton of free time she spends every second she can with her longtime boyfriend and her incredibly smart and adorable daughter.
Front Desk Staff
Beth joined the AAVH family in 2018. She is a Dickson County native graduating from Dickson County High School. She enjoys knitting, makeup art, and going to concerts. She is our resident cat whisperer. In Beth's spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. More to come on Beth soon.
Taylor joined the AAVH family in May 2019. She has her Pharmacy Technician license, but loves animals and client interaction so decided to come here. Taylor has a daughter that also shares an early love of medicine with Mom. In her non-existent spare time Taylor loves reading and spending time with her cat, Cat girl.
Amy lives in Dickson with her husband and 3 kids ranging from 8-16. Her kids are into sports so Amy spends her free time driving and at sporting events. Amy is very tender hearted and would take home every animal in need of a home if she wasn't worried her husband would divorce her. She currently has several dogs and cats (she's unsure of the exact number).
Travis lives in Dickson with his girlfriend and their pets. He has been at All Animals since October of 2020. While Travis has worked in customer service through different jobs he has not worked at a veterinary hospital before. He enjoys seeing all the different animals that come though the door.
Laura lives in Dickson with her husband and their dogs. She has been at All Animals since April of 2022. Laura has worked in customer service through different jobs her entire life including at a large referral hospital. She has hit the ground running and we are excited to have her here. Technicians and Assistants
Amy Myatt, LVMT
Amy has been with AAVH since 2012 after graduating from Columbia State Veterinary Technician Program and receiving her Associates Degree in Applied Animal Science. In addition to being a full-time licensed veterinary medical technician, she is also a full-time Mom to an energetic beautiful daughter named Katlyn, 2 very lovable dogs, Honey and Sarge, and 2 cats, Orange Kitty and Momma Cat. While Amy's spare time is extremely limited she does make time to go hunting, to read books, and to spend time with her family and friends.
Jodie Spencer, LVMT
Jodie is a licensed veterinary medical technician that joined the AAVH family in 2014. She worked at the Dickson County Humane Society for over 7 years before starting at AAVH. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, horseback riding, riding four-wheelers, and hunting. Jodie enjoys working her dogs while coon hunting. Jodie also enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially cattle work and new pet exams so she gets our newest patients off on the right start. We are very excited to have Jodie on the team!
Lauren McVoy, LVMT
Lauren grew up in Dickson. She started working with us at our White Bluff location through a work based learning program in high school. Now, Lauren is a License Veterinary Medical Technician. We are so glad to continue to be a part of her awesome journey!
Sherie's career as a veterinary assistant began in 1992. Sherie joined the AAVH/WBAC family in 2012. She is currently our veterinary assistant at our White Bluff practice. Originally from North Carolina, she has lived in TN since 2006 with her husband and 2 children. Aside from her actual children she also has a silly Lab named Maggie. In the very little time she does have, Sherie loves to make amazing baskets, read, and is a huge follower of Christ. Sherie is wonderful with animals. She has a soft voice, very kind heart, and a gentle touch.
Jenny was born and raised in Dickson. She started as a kennel technician with us and is now a veterinary assistant. Jenny is a hard worker and a fast learner. Her favorite part of work at White Bluff Animal Clinic is being able to see a chinchilla in one room, a dog in another, and then be able to help float a horse's teeth all in the same hour. Jenny's favorite animals are our furry rodent friends. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cats.
Michelle worked with us from 2008-2013 then came back because she missed us so much in 2020. Michelle enjoys spending her free time with her husband, her cats, and her adorable Pitbull, Layla. In her spare time Michelle enjoys horseback riding, traveling and going to concerts.
Emily is born and raised in White Bluff, TN. She joined the AAVH family in June 2020 and works mainly at our White Bluff Animal Clinic. Emily has 2 dogs, a Chihuahua mix and a Dachshund mix. She used to raise goats and vows to again one day. In her spare time Emily likes to use the other half of her brain and do crafts such as wreaths, dream catchers, flower crowns, and bead work. Emily is also an avid reader of all genre.
Montana grew up in Dickson County on a farm with horses, beef cattle, dogs, and cats. She started working with us as a high school student. Now, Montana is in college getting her undergraduate degree and plans on becoming a veterinarian (working with us of course). Montana's family also raises mini Australian Shepherds. In her spare time she loves spending time on the farm.
Aaron is a Dickson County native. He joined the AAVH/WBAC family in August of 2021. Aaron started out as a Kennel Technician and is now a Veterinary Assistant. Aaron is interested in becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the near future. Currently he is keeping very busy preparing for the arrival of his firstborn child!
Whitanie grew up in Dickson county on her family's farm. On the farm, she helped raise cattle and tobacco. Living on the farm is were she found her love for animals. Whitanie's love for animals is what lead her to joining the AAVH family in April of 2018 as a full time kennel assistant.
Joseph is a senior at Creekwood High School. He grew up on his family's farm in Dickson raising cattle and breeding dogs. They also have horses, goats, and chickens. Joseph will be pursuing a career as a large animal veterinarian after high school.
